Mazel tov to Alida Forshaw, our January raffle winner! Remember, your WRJ Sisterhood Gift Shop is trying something new this year… a monthly raffle. For each $10 you spend in the Gift Shop, you get a raffle ticket. If your name is pulled at the end of the month, you win! It is that simple. The more you spend, the better chance of winning.
Purim is here! Your WRJ Sisterhood Gift Shop has groggers, tambourines, Silly Bandz, finger puppets, and so much more to help celebrate!
The Gift Shop is putting out new merchandise Judaic and non Judaic on a regular basis. Stop in later this month to see items (non Judaic) from the Lansing Gift Show attended earlier this month. We’re sure you’ll see something you want! Don’t forget, each month we are also having special sales in our glass case just outside the gift shop doors. This is an opportunity for you to get regularly priced items at a discount during the month because the following month, they go back to regular price. It is not a clearance, it is truly a sale!

WRJ Central District Meeting:
If you are interested in learning more about Women of Reform Judaism (WRJ), then this event is for you! Many of you know and understand the basic functions of our Temple Sisterhood. We are but a small (and mighty) slice of the pie. The entire pie is our Central District. Many Sisterhoods from our region working and collaborating together for education, advocacy, and spirituality. The pan that holds us together is WRJ International- reform Sisterhoods around the world! Consider attending. Let Alida Forshaw know if you are interested. Your WRJ Sisterhood would like you to become involved. We can even help with the registration.

Nominations Committee:
We are in urgent need of Temple Sisterhood members to be a part of our nominating committee. Here is YOUR opportunity to shape your Sisterhood. If you want to see new things happening, we need new faces and new ideas.
The responsibility of the nominating committee is to compile a list of potential board members from the current Sisterhood membership. The committee presents the candidates to the Sisterhood board for approval and then contacts the candidates to inform them of the request and the responsibilities of the position they are being nominated for. This group of women meet three to four times over the next couple of months.
There are several board positions available for the 2012-2013 year including:
*Programming Chair
*Treasurer
*Religious Education Chair
*Garden and Grounds
*Telephone Network
*Publicity and
*holiday chairs.
You do not need to be on the nominating committee to nominate a lady for a position. You can simply write a note nominating the individual for the particular position and the committee will take it from there. Just put your nomination in the Sisterhood mailbox in the Temple office. Any nominations will be greatly appreciated.
If you are interested in any of these positions or being on the nominating committee, please contact Rochelle Barchick, ASAP at 419-882-1003.
