It’s time for our Hannukah Blow Out! Hannukah begins December 11, so November starts the BIG blow out and we mean BIG! Anything on the lobby tables is half off what it is marked. This is only during the month of November. Early shoppers will get the best selection so hurry and we mean hurry in to your WRJ gift Shop. We have all your Hannukah necessities including great gift ideas (Judaic and secular): jewelry, platters, books, clocks, cd’s, frames, wrapping paper, dreidels, menorahs, candles, tzedakah boxes, and sooooo much more. Did we mention we gift wrap too? Any Hannukah present purchased in the gift shop can be wrapped for only a dollar. If you purchase a menorah we will give you a free box of candles. For anyone with students in college, we have the perfect menorah and Shabbat candles for them-electric! Many dorms will not permit candles. We have an incredible selection of menorahs. You really need to stop by your WRJ Gift shop during this month to check it all out.

Shop-O-Rama:

Shoppers, you’ve been waiting and your wait is almost over. Sunday, November 15th is almost here, the Shop-O-Rama! Numerous Artists offering individually created items such as Judaic wall art, glass bowls and plates, jewelry of all creative sorts, purses and fabric totes, knitted items, children’s embellished denim wear, hand made tutus, decorative flip flops and a multitude of other handcrafted art forms will all be available for purchase in our Social Hall. Sisterhood has brought this unique shopping experience to your door. Please come out and support our vendors and get some holiday shopping done.

To entice you even more, we are having a raffle with a variety of pieces donated by the Artists for you to possibly win. You need not be present to win but must come to the Shop-O-Rama to enter the raffle. If that isn’t enough to get you into the Social Hall, perhaps lunch will. One of our vendors is selling gourmet cheese balls and dips. Sisterhood will be having a lunch and baked goods concession stand. Here is the clincher, it is absolutely free to attend! This event is open to the public. Make sure you are amongst the first to shop at 11 a.m. when the doors open but you have until the doors close at 4 p.m. to shop.

Proceeds from the Shop-O-Rama will be donated to JBI International (formally the Jewish Braille Institute). JBI International is an organization that provides transcription from printed word to Braille for the sightless and visually impaired. WRJ is a patron and founder of JBI International.

Wanted:

Sisterhood is in need of ladies to help bake for the concession stand at the Shop-O-Rama, as well as workers for the Shop-O-Rama. Volunteers would work the concessions, run the raffle table, sell raffle tickets and walk about the Social Hall to be of assistance to vendors and shoppers. Please contact Rochelle Barchick, Barbara Goldberg or Karen Posner if you can assist us. PLEASE, we need your support to help make this a successful event.
